Lacon parks are perfect for resting under an oak tree, taking a riverside stroll, powering through a kayak race, or chasing the kids around the playground.


Johnson's Grove Park

Johnson's Grove Park is a large park area shaded by many beautiful oak trees. Pavilions with picnic tables are available for family outings and may be reserved in advance for family reunions or other gatherings. Arrangements should be made at City Hall (309-246-6111) Monday through Friday.

Playground equipment for children is available, as well as a disc golf course for teens and adults. Sledding in the winter months is very popular on the back side of the park ,with a substantial hill extending to the lower park area.

The Garrels Building is used regularly by youth groups for meetings and may be rented for other activities through City Hall. The park is closed from 10 pm to 6 am.


Lacon Marina

The Lacon Marina features a public boat launch area, rental slips for boats, ample parking for boat trailers and a park area with picnic tables and playground equipment for children.

Nearby businesses offer delicious food and beverage service.


Weber Park

Weber Park is a riverfront park located on property which was formerly a part of the Lacon Woolen Mill. The park features green space, picnic tables, benches and a walking trail along the river.


Lacon Park District

The Lacon Park District supports a large public swimming pool plus a kiddie wading pool; other amenities include ball diamonds and football playing field.

There is also a picnic area for family outings.
