Lacon Town Wide Clean Up

Curbside Pick Up

Saturday, September 28th

         Items must be at the curb by 6:00 am

Set out your old furniture, mattresses, box springs and other bulky items                            

 

Material must be bagged or bundled, cut to less than 5’ in length and weigh less than 50 lbs. per bundle

The following items will NOT be picked up:

Tires

Liquid Paint

Batteries

Appliances (white goods)

Yard Waste

Hazardous Material (oil, gas, solvents)

E-Waste (computers, TVs, electronics)

Concrete

Car Parts

Loose or non-containerized items

 

2023 CONSUMER CONFIDENCE REPORT

The City of Lacon has available upon request this year’s Consumer Confidence Report (CCR). The CCR includes basic information on the sources of your drinking water, the levels of any contaminants that were detected in the water during 2022, and compliance with other drinking water rules, as well as some educational materials. Grass Clippings

The City of Lacon is asking residents NOT to blow their grass clippings onto the streets.

Grass clippings blown onto the street can cause an issue with storm drains when it rains, causing flooding of streets.

City Ordinance prohibits depositing grass clippings on city streets which can result in a penalty up to $750.

TIME TO RENEW YOUR 2024 GOLF CART PERMIT

Sticker renewal is $25 if purchased by April 30th, after April 30th $35

Please provide proof of current insurance.

City Hall is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m..

OR put in the mail slot on the west side of City Hall by the Police Department door and we will mail you a permit.

If you have a new golf cart that needs to be inspected please call 246-6111 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and we can set up an appointment to have it inspected by the Chief of Police.

YOU MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE AND BE 18 YEARS OLD TO OPERATE A GOLF CART IN THE CITY.

THE CITY OF LACON IS ASKING RESIDENTS TO NOT BLOW THEIR LEAVES ONTO THE STREETS.

LEAVES BLOWN ONTO THE STREET CAN CAUSE AN ISSUE WITH STORM DRAINS WHEN IT RAINS CAUSING FLOODING OF STREETS.
